Giro 2013715 Review by Pym9 (California)

I tried several other kinds of gloves, including a $30 or so pair of Specialized, the $40 Pearl Izumi Gel-Vent, but these Giro Monacos were by far the best. They completely eliminated the numbness that plagued me on any ride over 30 minutes. I can't begin to understand why people have given these gloves such poor reviews. They are better made and with better quality materials than the Gel-Vents, which got much better reviews, and that is why I bought those first. (After the Specialized.) Given the poor reviews here, I would never have bought these, but I tried them on in the LBS and liked how they felt. The technogel works great at absorbing vibration, and the glove as a whole is much better ventilated than the Gel-Vents. The microfiber is very absorbent, and the pull tabs on the two middle fingers make it easy to remove the gloves without turning them inside out. I can ride forever without my hands getting numb!!!

Giro 2013715 Review by donvp (Iowa)

I purchased these gloves hoping I was getting a good product. I was wrong. A seam split during the second week of use. That wasn't the worst part. Every time I used these gloves, they turned my hands black! I guess Giro used a cheap dye and when your hands sweat, it transfers the dye to your hands which does not wash off for a few days. I was really dissapointed in the quality these cloves.

Bottom line, cheap product and over priced. Don't buy these gloves. They are junk.

Giro 2013715 Review by MTB Adventurer

I totally thought these gloves were awesome. I did not buy mine online (REI)...but I MTB on some rough terrain and thought it was perfect! The feel was great, the fit was great, and the ride with it was great. I loved the two little tabs that help you pull off the gloves. The wrist band makes an awesome personalized fit around the wrist. The padding I thought was nice and thick for MTB. I road bike too and it did not bother me at all. I do not remember much about sweating issues. Since I do not remember it being a problem at all, then the gloves did not have any issues with ventilation.

I biffed it several times MTB and the gloves saved my hands from being scuffed up. I loved using it! I think it is a great glove. At first I wondered why I spent so much on a pair of gloves, but they were worth it to me after I started using them. I would be using it now if someone didn't steal my awesome gloves! =) Hope this helps!
